Lucy’s Aurora Arts provides one-to-one performing arts sessions — including dance, drama, singing, and storytelling — for children, teenagers, and adults, including those with SEND, neurodivergent profiles, complex needs, or emotional wellbeing support requirements. Sessions are creative and developmental in nature. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic treatment, and we make no claims to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.
Sessions are booked following an initial conversation to discuss the participant’s needs, preferences, and suitability for our service. We reserve the right to decline a booking if, in our reasonable judgement, we are not appropriately equipped to safely meet a participant’s needs.
A session is considered confirmed once both parties have agreed a date, time, and location in writing (including by text, WhatsApp, or email).
Session fees are agreed directly with the client prior to booking and may vary based on session length, frequency, and location. Payment is due within a week of the session — to be confirmed by Lucy]. We reserve the right to suspend future sessions if payment is not received in accordance with agreed terms.
By the client: We ask for at least 48 hours — to be confirmed by Lucy notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less notice than this may be charged in full, at our discretion, particularly where a session slot could not reasonably be reallocated.
By us: If we need to cancel or reschedule a session (for example due to illness, unforeseen circumstances, or an emergency), we will give you as much notice as possible and will offer an alternative date or a full refund for that session.
For participants under 18, or adults who require additional support to attend safely, a parent, carer, or designated responsible adult must:
We rely on accurate and complete information being provided about a participant’s needs. We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided to us.
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and judgement-free environment for every participant. We reserve the right to end a session early, without refund, if:
We hold an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and maintain current safeguarding training. Any safeguarding concern arising during a session will be handled in line with relevant safeguarding obligations and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.
Where sessions take place at a client’s home, school, or another third-party location, the client (or relevant institution) is responsible for ensuring the space is reasonably safe and suitable for the session to take place. We reserve the right to decline to deliver a session in a location we consider unsafe or unsuitable.
We will only photograph, film, or use any image or description of a participant for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes with explicit, separate, written consent obtained in advance. This consent can be withdrawn at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information on how personal data and any media are stored and used.
While we take all reasonable care in delivering our sessions safely and appropriately, participation is undertaken at the client’s own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from a session, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (including but not limited to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
If you are ever unhappy with any aspect of a session or our service, please contact us directly at contact.auroraarts@gmail.com so we can discuss and aim to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
